Transportation

The workshop venue is easy to reach using either public transportation or by car.
Instructions are provided below.

By airplane

The closest international airports are Köln Bonn, Düsseldorf and Frankfurt.
From the airport take public transportation to Aachen Westbahnhof .

By train

From Central Station:

-> By train: Take the train to Aachen West, traveling time approx. 5 minutes, price 2€, see below

-> By bus: Take the bus 3A to Mies-van-der-Rohe-Str, traveling time approx. 15 minutes, price 2€

-> By Taxi: There is a taxi stand next to the station, price about 12€

From station Aachen West (300m away from the institution)

  • go through the underpass on Seffenter Weg and follow the road uphill
  • cross the road at the bus stop (Mies-van-der-Rohe-Str.)
  • The Institute building is located on the left side

By car

from the A4 in the direction Vaals / Aachen:

  • take the exit AC-Laurensberg / Universität / TH [L232]
  • after 1.2 km turn right onto the [L260] Toledoring
  • after 1 km turn left onto Seffenter Weg
  • after 2 km turn right onto Mies-van-der-Rohe-Strasse
  • The Institute building is located on the left side

    Parking advice: Should the parking spaces on Mies-van-der-Rohe-Str. be already occupied we recommend the Hainbuchenstraße for parking (second street to the left). A map can be found here .
